Glömda rum

I was totally inspired when I stumbled across these beautiful and haunting photographs of the remains of the once magnificent Russian railway lines in the now independent, partially-recognized country of Abkhazia (it lies on the eastern coast of the Black Sea below Russian and west of Georgia). Like most countries born of the former Soviet Union it has seen more than its fair share of conflict, which in turn has left behind these monuments of ornate excess to crumble back into the landscape.
